Rosemont, IL (October 7, 2013) – Early bird GA and VIP tickets go on sale for Chicago’s longest-running New Year’s Eve celebration, the 17th annual Rock ‘N’ Roll Ball, on Tuesday, October 15th through Ticketweb.com.

Sponsored by 93XRT, this year’s bash is returning to the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare hotel, where over 2,000 revelers will groove into 2014 with a little help from some of Chicago’s most popular bands. ABC TV’s Countdown Chicago will telecast all the action throughout the city, while Cracker, Rod Tuffcurls and the Benchpress, Modern Day Romeos, and a fourth special headliner (TBA) will keep the party hopping well into the New Year.
One GA ticket to the event includes access to live music in three ballrooms, a four hour open bar package, and the convenient option of taking a short (and safe) elevator ride home. It’s also an opportunity to potentially be seen on Countdown Chicago, always one of the year’s highest-viewed hour-long specials. The event running time is 8:00 pm to 2:00 am.
Unlike most New Year’s Eve celebrations, the Rock ‘N’ Roll Ball offers a variety of different environments to explore and connect with – creating a unique experience. The entertainment features original, national touring acts in one ballroom, top-notch cover bands in a second ballroom, and an authentic nightclub DJ experience in a third ballroom. “The Rock ‘N’ Roll Ball is distinct in that it’s comprised of three diverse parties under one roof, for one affordable ticket,” said executive producer Tom Neubauer of Big Creek Productions. “It has something for everyone.”
ABOUT THE MUSIC:
Rock Room
Almost twenty years after their debut album, alt-rock icon Cracker is still going strong. What makes their success even more incredible is that they are one of the last bands standing from the early 90s. Many of their grunge peers are already having "reunion" tours, while Cracker has never bothered to leave the stage or stop churning out new albums.
